Schedule Quality Configuration in IFS PSO

Forum|alt.badge.img+2

Hello Expert,

I am new to IFS PSO, and I was going through the functional guide “Scheduling Concept - Introduction”.
As per my understanding, that we can set Schedule quality in IFS PSO System.

My question is, where can i maintain the value for the schedule quality? Is there is any specific parameters for schedule quality?

Bharathraj

Are you using PSO standalone or in combination with IFS Cloud?

In most cases you will use dynamic scheduling where the quality constantly improves over time. You don’t say “I only want 80%”, instead you define “give me a plan when quality is at least 80%”. As long as it’s less than 80% the Gantt will show a red status and no plan will be shown. When it reaches 80%, a plan is saved, status turns to green and the dispatcher will see the plan in the Gantt. PSO continues to improve the plan and updates it based on your defined interval.

Desired minimum Plan Quality is often set in the Broadcast record as minimum_plan_quality entity. As Alex said, this is to save the initial plan and DSE will continuously optimize beyond that if you are using Dynamic scheduling. In IFS products integrated with PSO (like IFS Cloud, FSM), usually there is a parameter in dataset record or scheduling parameters to set this.

Without broadcast records (in case you are testing this in standalone PSO), plan quality can be set using AutoProcessToQuality parameter in PSO.
