Document Revision Approve Permission Issue

Hi All

Seeking guidance here. I am setting up an approval template in the document revision and I added a user to approve the document. But this user only granted the DOCUMENT_ATTACHMENT_CLOUD permission set.

Once I start the approval, this user can view the document but he cant approve the document and I get below error.

I am just thinking do I need to grant any additional permission to these users who are doing document approvals? I dont think we need to grant Doc Admin permission for these approvers as I dont want approvers to see other documents and document revisions.

Any suggestions please?

Thanks,

Chamath

Hi @Chamath Kuruppuarachchi,

I think it still needs the ApprovalRoutingAttachmentHandling projection:

No, that's only for Attachments / Approvals.

The projection to grant is the one connected to the page where the user get the error, nothing else. What's missing there is most probably an action grant. Perhaps they granted read only access only? If you do that, many commands will fail.

Hi @Mathias Dahl you might be correct I will check the access and get back here.

So you mean if I connected the document from the inventory part, the approving user should at least have the edit access to the Inventory part page to approve the document revision right?

Thanks,

Chamath

No, that's not the page they use to approve, right? Read my last reply again.
