Through some customer order integration, we would like to explore the possibility of using customer orders, not shipment orders to trigger shipment creation with a Remote warehouse receiver type. Has anyone had any success here?
+1Hi Astfarazt, we are looking to manage our remote warehouse shipments through the customer orders rather than shipment orders. Configure IFS to automatically create shipments with a remote warehouse receiver type when a customer order is placed for a product to be shipped to a remote warehouse. The key is configuring the customer order to create a shipment with a receiver type of "Remote Warehouse. This approach allows us to to have visibility to remote warehouse orders alongside other open orders, providing a comprehensive view of the order fulfillment process. We would like our remote warehouse replenishment shipments to walk and talk like all other customer orders (i.e. automatically create shop orders upon release, shop order receive and reservation to shipment etc.) We are finding that Shipment orders, really is more designed for inventory already in stock.
