Hi  we encounter some database lock since two days on a customer site, each time the blocking querie seems to be due to run of sp_ASTEA_ClaimLockSemaphore .

When we look at this proc stock it seems to work woth the table ap_lock_keylock . ON the customer database this table contains more than 2 millions of records. Could you tell me what is the usage of this table ? and is it normal when no one is working on the system that this table contains this number of records ?

thanks for your feedback

Rgds

Hi Christophe,

The ap_lock_keylock table seems to be used to control access to the ap_lock table; maybe was implemented to prevent performance issues or deadlocks during record locking. I would suggest opening a support ticket if there are 2m records in this table; it would need to be researched further by the framework team.

Thanks,
Andrew
