Question

What scenarios trigger SODIFF transactions

Forum|alt.badge.img+10

Hi

What is the reason for SODIFF transactions created at SO close? Does it only occur when using Standard costing? Can this trigger when Weighted Average is used?

Thanks

Hi,

SODIFF+/- transactions are created at the time when SO is closed, they are generated when the actual SO cost is different that part cost.
For instance, if you report more time that that was defined in routing, a SODIFF is created.

Hi @Upasari

I don't understand because I just did this and it didn't create a SODIFF.

I clocked in more than temp labor and got nothing.

Please give me an example

I am at standard cost manufactured item and PUMP purchased item

I am also very interested  how this event SODIFF+/- gets triggered. I mean there are several events like SOMTRLV or SOLABV etc. which displays the actual cause of a shop order difference. Somethimes SODIFF gets triggered and you are not able to see directly what process caused the variance.

Here an example. below you can see a simple shop order which generated this socalled SODIFF

If i check the inventory transactions in detail (this SODIFF) is caused by an operations (machine time).

I am very curious why the System didnt use the Event SOMACHV, which is the actual event for shop order machine variances?
