Federated Search and Web Client in FSM Update 16 not reacting to UI Designer

Web client is only responding to app param FEDERATED_SEARCH_ENABLED.  either for all screens or none.  Customer needs to restrict in repair portal the ability to global search.   The flag on individual screens reacts in smart client but not web.

Is this by design or a bug in web client?

Hi @GogBenbeH,

I do not believe you can do it on the screen but you should be able to limit this on the roles by restricting particular screens or functions for anyone using the repair portal as long as they share a role. This will then not show on the global search.

Please see the below article for more information:

Kind regards,

Lee Pinchbeck

HI @Lee Pinchbeck  Apologies for delay but it took some weeks for IFS to get FSM 6 Repair Portal environment in cloud.  But I do not mean the search in the title bar, i literally mean the global search on the screen

We attempted to add the screen to role and have it disabled but no change

This used to be handled in the actual screen itself

  <show_global_search>N</show_global_search>

Smart Client reacts but Web Client does not
