We are using IFS version 8.
We are having Inventory parts of below series:-
AS
PL
MO
FG
These parts are users by different manufacturing departments.
While doing shop orders user of one department is able to create shop order for parts which are of another department.
I need to restrict the access for creation of other department parts shop orders from users.
Can you provide any triggers code/logic to overcome this issue.
If I am correct, the Department in IFS Manufacturing is used for information purposes. This can be connected to a work center hence it will be reflected in the shop order operations and consider in load logic.
But there is no functionality to connect Department in to a Part number like in Production Line.
Suggestion would be to enhance this as a customization.
1. Establish Part number and Department relationship like in Production Line.
2. Establish Department Mandatory on Shop Order header.
3. Establish the validation of department and part number relationship.
