Hi guys,

When adding components to the Consist Of Tab in the Engineering Part Navigator on IFS Cloud the Drawing Position No tab is mandatory and it’s always a “*”. What is the purpose of this Tab and is it possible to remove it if not in use OR set default “*” when adding a new component to the BOM.

Hi ​@Ina,

Navigate to the window and open the page designer. From there, Select all elements > Lists > Eng Part Structure Consist Of List > content > drawing position number > remove the tick in "required field" and add a default value as shown below:

In the past (IFS 10) we have done a CRIM, to automatically fill the “drawing pos no” with unique values per line and created an extra field “C drawing pos no” that allowed numeric values without restrictions.

that means - our requirement is, to have

  • multiple component lines with the same component part no in one part list
  • and the same value on “drawing pos no” on multiple components in one part list

    is this supported es well?
