Hi,

I have a requirement from the customer where he wants to know if he has got the customer order on 10th of the next month and that order needs to be manufactured (with 70+ plus purchased and sub-assemblies in the BOM) first. Then do we have any functionality where system calculates all the things (like lead time, open supplies etc) and give the result whether they will be able to deliver on 10th or not. if not on 10th then on which date they will be able to deliver.

Thanks

If Dynamic Order Processing (DOP) is used, this is possible, but it is very rigid and limits transferring items from one customer order to another without work.  It also limits making those items to stock.  All things are possible, but within bounds.

A lesser version of this is to have correct lead times on the parts in the system and with accurate inventory, pegging of orders, and using reservations on parts, some of the above can be approximated with a less rigid system.

Both versions require some work and discipline to operate, they are not magic solutions.

In my estimation of this question that is asked many times in our own manufacturing plants, users want a magic solution without the work or the downsides of the solution - which does not exist.
