Upgrade concerns for Business Reporter - APP10 to Cloud

Hey All,

I have a concern raised from a customer with regards to upgrading Business Reporters from APPS10 to Cloud. 

  • What implication is there for any reports that have been developed for Apps10 Aurena as and when we decide to upgrade to IFS Cloud?
  • Does BR still exist? Will the reports just continue to work? Or will they need to be adjusted, or worse redeveloped, to work with IFS Cloud?

I know we could run the Business Reporter Upgrade Utility to validate the reports but are there anything additional which we need to consider on above concerns?

Hi @thprlkARC 

The reports that are developed from App 10 can be used in IFS Cloud. 
Refer to this to see what are the manual actions that need to be performed in an upgrade.

Accordingly, you need to use the Business Reporter Upgrade Utility to validate the reports and then you need to perform republishing or resaving of reports. This will ensure that compression of data sets is enabled and that data sets are sorted properly.

IFS Business Reporter exists in IFS Cloud, and reports will continue to work in IFS Cloud.
