I have inventory parts where I don’t want to receive MRP planned demand, I want the demand to only be created by the upper level. The problem with next level demand planning is that it doesn’t generate purchase requisitions. Is it possible to set the planning method or manufacturing structure to support this, or am I better off deleting forecast for said parts?

Hi @spencerkruse55

If the part is MRP planned, there is no way to adjust planning method or BOM to bypass the standard MRP logic. The only option you have it seems is to remove forecasts as you have mentioned.

Is it possible to set the part up in a different manner to only show firm demand created from shop orders, and subsequently from that have purchase req’s generated?
