Is there a setting to disable the enforcement of the sequencing of Object Levels in the equipment basic data?

Hi @hmccabe

Do you mean, you need to remove this so that when it comes to functional objects, any functional object with any level and be connected under those objects disregarding the sequence?

Level Sequence
The order in which object levels are to be used in the object structure. For instance, when you assign an object level to an object, you must always select the object level with a higher sequence than the one of the superior object, e.g., an object created on level 3 should belong to a parent object of the object level 2.

Best Regards,

Thilini

I would be interested to see examples that customer’s use in the real world of Object Levels.

I was working on something like this:

  • System
    • Sub System
      • Sub System
        • Component
      • Component
      • Component
        • Assembly
    • Sub System
      • Component

I can’t have the same Object Level reference the Same Object level.

Hi,

@clint1028 @Thilini Kumarasinghe

Tested this setting on test environment;

Even though it says the "Move Functional Object" setting, it seems that enabling "Ignore Object Level Validation" also disables validation during regular operations. This means you can create a Sub-System under another Sub-System or a Device under another Device, which would normally not be allowed.
