A couple of questions:

  1. What is the appropriate IFS scanning function that I need to install on my ANdroid phone to work with IFS Cloud?
  2. If I run IFS Cloud on my phone, how can I get this scanning function to work with the applciation?

Thanks!

Hey Vernon,

What is the context behind the ask...is this FSM related? Or are you just looking to scan any old pdf onto the device then attach it in Cloud?

@Vernon Anderson depends on what you are trying to achieve.

For example if you have WaDaCo processes configured for executing material transactions - you need to install IFS Scan It app from Play Store

If you wanna execute work for Maintenance - IFS MWO Maintenance Classic app is available

If you wanna execute work for Service FSM - IFS MWO Service Classic app is available

When you say IFS Cloud what do you mean exactly, is it the regular aurena (web) client you use on your device or is it a aurena/cloud mobile app we are talking about?

The mobile apps would already have this built in, at least for Scan-It we use the mobile framework functionality for this. Sometimes depending on barcode standard and using the camera function to scan you might require a scandit license for it to work.

https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/25r1/030_administration/040_native_apps/090_mobile_apps/60_scan_it/?h=scandit#optional_scandit_application_license_key

But if you are talking about regular aurena (web) client I’m not sure, we usually use a usb/bluetooth scanners when using that framework.
