Non Inventory Part connectable on a shipment

Hi,

We are about to Go Live with IFS Cloud in July and users are now noticing that they can connect a non-invnetory part to a shipment.

In Apps 9 we have always kept a ‘Dummy Part’ (non inventory sales part) as per IFS advice back in 2002 to keep the customer order open as it is linked to schedules. This method has worked very well until now when the user can see all these non-inventory part order lines and potentially attach them to the shipment.

Is there a way to stop non inventory sales parts from showing as connectable to a shipment? The shipment type is NA, not automatic.

Hi ​@sholmes,

Please set supply Code for existing Customer Order lines to Not Decided, and likewise Sourcing Code for Sales Part to Not Decided (this will work for future Customer Orders).
