Hi,

I need to create a hyperlink/command to access internal/server storage files(UNC Path) from IFS Cloud for an offshore solution. Is it possible in 25R1/onwards?

Or Can we implement this using Edm file repositories?

The only option we have is to implement this on the configuration layer.

When I tried with ExternalNavigationLink, it only allows to add as HTTP links.

Are there any better ways to implement this?

Appreciate your assistance.

BR,

Hasith Deshan

If you’re looking for details on the File Storage implementation in IFSCloud, please check the following document.

Yes, the File Storage in DOCMAN works as SMB in Remote Deployments. The limitation is that you can only have one repository.

If you do need several (like different servers etc. on the same IFS Cloud env) you need to re-enable the disabled and deprecated Shared Folders functionality.

File Storage is recommended as the first alternative and said to support multiple locations in the future (26R1?) when Shared Repositories could be removed completely.
