2. Create Quick Information Sources based on IAL

Yes, becouse if you create Quick Information Sources based on your IAL then you have new projection.

For projection you can set permissions.

I understood that you want to create your own view that you want to appear in the lobby.

What do you mean “SQL inputs”?

It is possible to create new views/projections with Query Designer. 

Solution Manager > Configuration > Query Designer > Queries

Hi ​@Ed22,

This issue may occur if the permission set "FND_LOBBY_SQLDS_ADMIN" has not been granted to the user.

Once this permission set is granted to the specific user, the SQL and Projection options will become available when clicking the "Create Datasource" button. By selecting the SQL option, you will be able to design the datasource using views.
