Hello,

my coworker says that purchase order authorization hasnt been working since yesterday, what should I do?

To solve this error, I must add him some priviledges through users and permissions?

Hi @Ed22 ,

Please refer to the IFS Purchase Order authorization process.
It would be helpful if you could explain the exact issue you are facing, as this behavior could be the result of missing basic data or incorrectly defined authorization limits or user permission issue.

He had error message: “

It says an error that the authorizer NAME.SURNAME does not belong to the authorization group MAST_DATA and is not a superior or deputy to any of the authorizers in the authorization group MAST_DATA. Should I add permission to it in users and permissions?”

Hello,

You can follow the way to add new Authorizer:

  • Procurement > Authorization > Purchase Authorization Basic Data

Hi @Ed22,

You should first verify the Purchase Authorization setup. Navigate to Purchasing > Purchase Authorization > Authorization Groups, open the MAST_DATA authorization group, and confirm whether NAME.SURNAME is directly assigned as an authorizer, or indirectly covered through a defined Superior the user is not included in any of these ways, the system will prevent purchase order authorization and raise this error. In that case, adding the user to the MAST_DATA authorization group (or defining the appropriate superior or deputy relationship) might resolve this issue.

And if someone is superior authorizer, should I add him separately or there is no need adding him extra as a person?

If it also requires his/her approval each time, you should add him/her as a separate person.
