Subject: IFS Cloud – Project ID Dropdown Empty When Creating Application for Payment

Hi everyone,

I am having an issue creating an Application for Payment in IFS Cloud and would appreciate any guidance.

I created a new Sales Contract and am trying to create an Application for Payment. However, when I open the Project ID dropdown, no projects are available for selection.

Here is the current setup:

  • Sales Contract: C100001143

  • Contract Status: Active

  • Contract Type: PRE – Prestress Contract

  • Invoice Method: Invoice on Certify Application

  • Project: 14404 – Museum of the Marine

  • Project Status: Started

  • Sub Project: 70 – Special Material

  • Revenue Activity: 1 – Special Material

  • Activity Status: Released

  • Activity Invoicability: Invoiceable

  • General Report Code: 0101 – SC Rework Plant

  • Billing Sequence: Entered on the Sales Contract Revision Item

The project already existed in IFS before I created the Sales Contract. I have also confirmed that the project and revenue activity are assigned to the Sales Contract.

The Customer Activity Links tab on the activity is currently empty.

Despite the above setup, the Project ID dropdown in the New Application for Payment screen is completely empty.

Has anyone experienced this issue in IFS Cloud?

Is there a specific project, sales contract revision, or billing setup required for a project to become available in the Application for Payment Project ID dropdown?

Any suggestions on what I may be missing would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I think for the header Project selection to be activated you need to have “Project Unique Billing” set to active on the project.
this will ensure that the AFPs on that contract will only be connected to one project and therefore the sequential numbering on the header will be valid and be able to accumulate aggregate values on the applications correctly.

This is indeed what needs to be done! Keep in mind that you have to recreate the Sales Contract, otherwise you will run into the same problem again.
