Hello,
We are investigating the behavior of inter-site order processing in IFS Cloud 26R1 and would like to confirm whether the following behavior is standard, and if there is any configuration to change it.
■Current behavior
We have two sites:
• Site 1 = Supply site
• Site 2 = Demand site
Scenario 1: Manual Internal Purchase Order
1. Create an internal Purchase Order in Site 2 manually.
2. Release the PO.
3. The order is not automatically sent to Site 1.
4. We must execute"Send Order" manually to create the Customer Order in Site 1.
Scenario 2: Customer Order with Supply Code = Inter Purchase Transit (IPT)
1. Create a Customer Order in Site 2.
2. Supply Code = Inter Purchase Transit (IPT).
3. Release the Customer Order.
4. An internal Purchase Order is automatically created.
5. The ORDERS message is automatically generated and sent to Site 1.
6. The corresponding Customer Order is automatically created in Site 1.
■What we have verified
• In Scenario 2, the internal PO is generated from a Customer Order.
• In Scenario 1, the PO is manually created and has no upstream Customer Order.
• We found documentation stating that, for Customer Order based inter-site flows, the internal PO and ORDERS message are automatically created and sent when the Customer Order is released. However, we could not find a clear statement regarding manually created internal POs. Inter-Site Message Handling
■Question
Is there any standard configuration or setup that can prevent the automatic ORDERS transmission in Scenario 2?
In other words, when a Customer Order uses Inter Purchase Transit (IPT) and generates an internal PO, can we make the process behave like Scenario 1 so that the user must manually execute Send Order before the demand-site order is transmitted to the supply site?
