Question

IFS Terms of Use

Forum|alt.badge.img+3

Hello,

We would like to see how many hours our IFS Cloud users have actively used IFS over specific time intervals (e.g., 1 month, 3 months). Could you please help us identify which table contains this information, or where we can find it if such a log page exists?

@HilalSTS Maybe if you could help us understand what your definition of an Active user is? Is it someone who keeps on typing? Or someone logging on, gets coffee and doesn't use IFS until automatic logging off?

Most likely you will have to define an event or workflow to save the entry timestamp and for the given session what the timestamp is of logging out.

These are the individuals for whom I have set up IFS accounts and who actively use the system—searching for data, adding records, and performing updates. They are not people who step away from IFS to grab coffee or attend meetings. We are looking at how many hours they actually spend using IFS during the logged time.

I don't know where to fetch the data from.

In IFS26R1 I'm able to prepare a quick report using the following:

select * from fnd_session_runtime

Try that and monitor it to see which fields might be useful. Once again, you most likely have to prepare an event/workflow that will fill a custom entity.

Hello

Sharing @khatuna’s  response here, as it ended up in the community@ifs.com mailbox:

Thank you for reaching out. Regarding your question about tracking the active usage hours of IFS Cloud users over a specific timeframe (1 to 3 months):

Directly calculating "active hours" can be tricky because IFS tracks sessions and events rather than continuous activity time. There isn't a specific table that pre-calculates total hours, but you can gather this information from the following locations:

1. Solution Manager:

Navigate to Solution Manager > Users and Permissions > Identity and Access Manager. You will find IAM Sessions and Login Events pages there. This allows you to see when users logged in and out.

2. Database Level / Background Logs:

You can check the user's last activity using fnd_user_api.get_last_activity. Alternatively, logs are recorded in tables related to FNDRR_CLIENT_PROFILE_VALUE and IAM_LOGIN_EVENT. “
