Hello all. We are having trouble finding a solution for this situation so we're putting it out to the community. We have a finished good(SX) made of components (A1, B2). We are responsible for keeping a certain amount of SX in invenotry based on a clients forecast. In the Demand planner we are going to be manually updating the forecast for SX. Lets say the system forecast is 250 but we are manually adding 250 to get a final adjusted forecast of 500. The system forecast for A1 is 1000. 250 of this 1000 forecast represents the forecast for SX. The 1000 is migrated to the Master Schedule. We turn on the 'Consume Dependent Demand Toggle' so the the dependent demands of A1 consumes the forecast.
The problems we are facing are:
1. we are actually under forecasting for A1 because in the Demand Planner we added Forecast to the SX.
2. SX will over consume the forecast of A1 in the Master Schedule.
Has anyone dealt with this sort of situation? Manually adding to each component’s forecast is not scalable.
