We have a request to update an existing part.
Currently the part’s Lot/Batch tracking has setup as ‘Not Lot Tracking’ and need to update to ‘Order Based’. When we try to do this we are getting an error ‘The part exists in inventory with Not Lot Tracking’ because we can see data in Inventory part in stock.
Kindly advise me to how to proceed with this.

We were able to solve this.
Scrap the available parts in Inventory Part In Stock Window in order to make the qty zero.
Then updated the catalogue part and save it.
If you have marked ‘Negative on Hand Allowed’ in Inventory part, you have to untick it otherwise you will get another error ‘Negative on Hand cannot be allowed when the part is Lot or Serial Tracked’ when you try to update part catalogue.
