Dear IFS Community,

I would like to have your advice regarding the sizing of our REF ENV (IFS 21R1)

vCPU

Mémoire

Disque OS (Go)

Disque Data (Go)

VM Middleware REFE

16

64

128

128

VM Database REFE

32

128

128

5000

Do you think that’s ok , especially the size of the disc?

Thank you in advance for your help

Best Regards,

Saber

Hi @BenhassineS,

(Refer attached IFS Remote pdf)

This guide supports you in sizing base and middle tier servers used by IFS Cloud 2021 in a on-premise solution with  IFS-Remote.

Hello @Charith Epasinghe,

Thank you for your answer.

Actually the document is quite OK, but it didn’t mention the size of the disc that we need to allow for the Database for exemple.

The reason why i raised the question is that I am confused and have doubts about this recommandation (came from IFS).

the fact is that is exactly like the recommandation for the production ENV which is normal to have all this ressources.

The REFERENCE ENV will be for sure less requested that the other environments, beside less Users will use it (except developers or support in some cases).

Thank you in advance for any Feedback

Best Regards,

Saber

Hi @BenhassineS ,

It is quite hard to mention a size of the database disk. This is something depend on the usage , amount of data/files stored in DB. if you tend to store large MEDIA_ITEM objects IFSAPP_LOB tablaspace will consme more space.

If you are planning to perform databse clones from PROD to REF, at the end REF also ended up with same size of the PROD DB. I beliver this is something you can consider when deciding REF env disk size.
