I am getting error - Session is locked by ifs. But no pending changes exist. Release configuration to allow edit.
on IFS MWS
can any one suggest how to unlock. one way i know is to reconfigure the application which ofcourse is not the right way

No. I resolved it via logging into
https://<FQN>:48091/console/console.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=HomePage1
using ifs and releasing it from there
