Hi,

My company is looking to open an office in China. A couple of questions have being raised and we are looking for answers to the following:

Is there a Chinese Version?

What are the key preparation for any venture into China? We are currently using App9 of the software.

Regards

John

IFS support Chinese Language. just the translation is bit awkward. but that is fine.

Tax is differernt, Jinsui should be available if you would like to have IFS to run in China.

Hi

are you asking for a hosted IFS app solution

do you need the IFS Apps to be hosted inside china ?  or is it  already hosted outside china boarders and you need to provision it and make it accessible  for Chinese users to access it ?

Thanks

Yosef

Hi Yosef,

We are a cloud hosted customer, so what we need if for the DB to be accessed from China. SO yes we’ll need Chinese users to access it from within China.

Thanks John for the clarification

China implements both technical and legislative controls over internet traffic including blocking or slowing down access to resources outside the country.
Users attempting to access global resources, including IFS Cloud Services, via a restricted network may encounter a range of issues including poor application response times
IFS currently has no plans to offer services from within China and cannot recommend or endorse any particular customer connectivity strategy.
IFS has, however, worked in collaboration with Microsoft to understand the technical issues and challenges, and should an individual customer use case prove to be problematic there are several potential approaches and 3rd party solutions which may help.  Two examples of 3rd party connectivity services which IFS believes will work with IFS’ cloud services are Expereo China Premium Internet – a managed internet access service - and Teridion – a VPN-based solution utilizing a customer’s existing internet connection.

Regards,

Yosef
