I would like to ask about a behavior change regarding code generation in the recent IFS Developer Studio update.
* Developer Studio Version:** IFS Developer Studio 18 (Build 26.2.1308 2026-10-02)
* Target File: `XXXX-Cust.entity` (marked as `[r/o]`)
* Target Layer: `Cust`
**Issue Description:**
When running "Generate Code and Deploy" on a customization entity file that has read-only attributes, the execution is blocked with the following error:
> `ERROR: Files are in read-only mode. Code generation and deployment are not supported for read-only files.`
In previous versions, we were able to run generate code and deploy without issues even when the files were in read-only mode.
**Questions:**
1. Is this an intended specification change / new validation introduced in the 2026-10-02 release (26.2.1308) to strictly disallow generation on any read-only files?
2. Is there any setting or workaround available to bypass this restriction, or is it mandatory now to manually remove the read-only flag before generating and deploying?
Any insights or official references regarding this change would be greatly appreciated.
