We have one user who is getting this “Connect to:” line on the logon dialog. What exactly causes this?

We’re deployed on HTTPS globally, and I’ve seen this in the past when the user wasn’t on VPN. That work-around doesn’t seem to be helping this user.

 

 

I’ve never seen that  myself but have you tried to clear the local cache files for IFS… Force a re-download to see if that resolves?

Yes, we’ve tried clearing the user’s Apps\2.0 folder.


Connecting through the network or VPN will populate and remember that field on the first login.  We had a similar issue with users in China when they began working from home and were using their home PC that didn’t have the VPN available to connect the first time.  They were all able to connect by entering the short URL to the database - like https://ifsx.xxxxxx.com for example.
