Has anyone else ever had Apps10 (UPD5 in our case) completely lock up and require stop and restart of the server services using mws-svr?
In the most recent instance last week, after a successful STOP using mws-svr, the entire VM actually locked up during the START and required a ‘hard’ reboot from the VM console. No errors were seen in the logs at all; they just have no entries from after the time of the freeze showing a happy system doing normal processing until then.
Unfortunately after the VM rebooted we had some file corruption and missing files that required a recovery from backup. I can’t tell for sure if the files were damaged or missing before the stop/start or if that happened from the forced VM reboot.
So:
- Are we the only ones seeing anything like this?
- Has anyone else experienced issues with IFS Applications Server just stopping, or with files becoming corrupted or missing during normal operation?
