Question

APP8 to Cloud upgrade error (invalid identifier)

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

When attempting to upgrade the app8 database to a cloud database, there are errors due to obsolete packages and functions.

According to the deployment scripts, the RECEIPT_INVENTORY_LOCATION_API package was successfully removed from the database a few hours ago, yet this error persists.

Additionally, these packages and functions had been removed from the deployed database.

Question: Why are these invalid compilation errors appearing for non-existent packages/functions?

@Ravinduprasath  which version of IFS Cloud are you trying to upgrade to? Note that the direct upgrade path Apps8 to IFS Cloud 24R1 is not supported, in case that’s what you tried.

Best regards,

Rukmal

Hi @Rukmal Fernando,

Tried to upgrade the App8 database to Cloud 23.1.6. Could you please specify the path to follow for this kind of upgrade?

Best Regards,
Ravindu

@Ravinduprasath I’m afraid I don’t know the full steps of the upgrade, I only wanted to make sure that you were aware that direct upgrade to 24R1 was not possible. Hopefully others can guide you here!

Best regards,

Rukmal
