Hi. Is it possible to report VAT directly from IFS to the Making Tax Digital system in the UK?

no, you need a 3rd party software for the bridging step. IFS have some partners that do this, but also all the big players such as KPMG, Deloitte etc all have this service offering.
IFS offering stops at the point of generating the digital file ready for import somewhere.
+1BRSA, Vanilla Solutions have created a Making Tax Digital (MTD) solution that is used by quite a number of companies which is supported year on year. It’s easy to install, prove and submit your results to HMRC.
