Hi all,

We use Pagero as our service provider for all our invoices ( from suppliers and to customers).  Can Data Capture Management in IFS Cloud, replace Pagero in total?

We would like to know if any customer has changed from Pagero to data capture within IFS Cloud, and their experience so far….

Dear @Osthewha

here is a practical comparison of the two different products :

Capability IFS Data Capture Pagero
OCR of supplier invoices Yes Yes
AI invoice extraction Yes Yes
AP invoice automation Yes Yes
PEPPOL connectivity No (native feature not equivalent) Yes
Customer e-invoicing Limited / requires other solutions Yes
Global e-invoice compliance Limited Yes
Supplier network No Yes
EDI transactions No Yes

Based on this, Data Capture is closer to an OCR/AP automation tool, whereas Pagero is an e-invoicing and business network platform.  Their purposes are different as products, but also depends on how you are using it at your organization. What is not listed in your query and in this answer is simply about how many countries, e-invoice compliances ( those would be the detailed insights, you have to work on )

Depending on what you are using Pagero for, based on the above , decide overall if this helps in replacing Pagero with IFS data capture in full or if you use for additional features such as e-invoice compliance or customer e-invoicing etc.

Regards

Vivek

Thank you so much for the information,  Do you know when IFS also will deliver a solution for customer invoices and for Peppol?

Dear Heidi

Not too sure when IFS has these on their roadmap.  Would wait, if the moderator of this chat/question, reviews and has a better answer.

From my generic understanding ( have not worked on PEPPOL requirements/integration) but have handled Pagero and other AP automations in general , IFS does support exporting Customer Invoices, and in 25R2, there is some additional support for UBL formats, which is a base for PEPPOL

Check this answer in the community about PEPPOLInvoice Interface Peppol | IFS Community and you will get more info than what I have stated.

it does seem you still need an external partner to provide the connectivity to PEPPOL ( the pan european procurement online ) which is not out of the box, but integrations for customer invoices, with the UBL format and then the connectivity might be worth it.

Still IFS will not replace Pagero 100% - From an IT perspective, you might be reviewing overall costs, which is fair, but they are still different, and some things will not be within IFS overall.
