Is there a way to change customer invoice item description status at PostedAuth in below screenshot highlighted?

No I don’t think so, invoices can only be changed while in the preliminary status except for data correction. Otherwise, a correction invoice needs to be created.
Just tried correction invoice, it is allowed you to make changes to the description. So correction invoice works.
