what’s the reason you’d want these two scopes invoiced separately, if they’re going to the same customer in the end?

If you’ve done the work for scope 1 and it’s completed, you’d get an invoice for the first scope (the completed scope) if you used the option “Completed Scopes”, and when you’ve completed the second, you’d get another invoice for that completed scope. 

You could of course also follow that logic to achieve what you want, even if all work has technically  been completed, although you’d have to hold off on changing one scope to Completed or set it back to Work Started temporarily. 

Requirement 1:
Create separate invoice previews when one scope is completed while the other is still in progress.

Solution steps:
1) First, let's create an invoice preview for the completed scope. For that click Invoice preview option and make sure to select Filtered by "Completed Scopes" option. Group level - Request scope. Click ok - Now an invoice preview is created only for the completed scope.
2) Next, let's create an invoice preview for the incomplete scope. For that click Invoice preview option and make sure to clear the Filtered by "Completed Scopes" option. Group level - Request scope. Click ok - Now another invoice preview is created for the incomplete scope.
This way, we have 2 separate invoice previews created for the 2 scopes.


Requirement 2:
Create separate invoice previews when both scopes are completed.
To make it broader, let's say customer wants to create separate invoice previews for each scope irrespective of the scope status.

Solution steps:
1) Click on Invoice preview option. Group level - Request scope. Click ok.
2) Note that all sales lines from the 2 scopes are grouped into 1 invoice preview.
3) Now in the invoice preview, delete the service invoice lines created from the 2nd scope.
4) Then go back to Request - Costs and Sales page, and click Invoice preview option. Group level - Request scope. Click ok.
5) Note that now a new invoice preview is created for the 2nd scope.
This way, we have 2 separate invoice previews created for the 2 scopes.
