I have referred the documentation of the latest released FSM version (FSM6U20), and this version only officially supports "Android 7 through Android 12. Our customer would like to know in which upgrade we will be providing official support for android 13.

Could you please kindly let us know in which upgrade we will be providing official support for android 13?

Please see this topic:

FSM Mobile does not function with Android 13.  The earliest that FSM Mobile may support Android 13 is Update 21, but that depends upon work in progress to support some significant Android changes.

Please refer to this Master Article:

Our customer is on U12 - They have more than 7K users and Android version 13 are popping up on their screens. So they are upgrading it or sometime automatically its upgrading on higher version.

Although they have already published good to know communication to users last week itself that do not upgrade their Android version and keep it same as previous version to run the IFS Mobile application. But they informed us they cannot restrict to 7K users.

They are asking whether they can receive a Hot fix for UPD12 to support Android 13

As documented in the Install/Upgrade guides, FSM 6 Update 12 supported Android 7 through Android 11.  Support for Android 13 will not be added to any currently released version of FSM 6.  We are still determining when support for Android 13 will be added, but currently expect Update 21 to support Android 13.

Just confirming, Android 13 is supported in FSM6 Update 21 released October 14, 2022 and Update 22 released December 2nd, 2022.    Android 13 required technical changes in the mobile application that are not available in earlier updates.   Customers needing support for Android 13 should upgrade to the latest FSM update, currently update 22.

You can get earlier FSM Mobile Apps to work  with Android 13.

Users with an Android Tablet on Android OS 13 need to follow the addition steps.

1. In Settings search for Permissions Manager

2. Select Files

3. Select See more apps that can access all files

4. Toggle on IFS Field Service

     >> Now go back to IFS App..
