Hi all,

Currently we have a client that has some pretty complex shift requirements. We have tries to generate the shift patterns using requirements and rules, but have not really got close to the shift patterns required. Having looked into background shift generation, it only works on a set amount of days, but this won’t work due to the shift patterns being different lengths (9 weeks, 8 weeks, 6 weeks and 4 weeks). Has anyone come across a problem like this before and been able to resolve it without using manual Rota generation ?

Hi Keith,

You are correct that background shift generation will only create Rota items from a shift template up to a defined period set by the parameter BackgroundRotaGenerationDays. You can increase this parameter from the default of 4 weeks if you have shift patterns longer.

Any more questions let me know.

Thanks,

Kai
