Hi, I’ve got a question regarding change of status on a document.

When changing a document revision status to Released we get a Release Document - General Information window where it is possible to set old released document revisions to obsolete.

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the default settings, we have default No and would like it to be default Yes.

Hi @Heesno ,

Yes, that is ‘partly’ possible. You can even set this per document class (see NO_OF_RELEASED_REVISIONS).

When this is set to ONE (other option is MANY), then the previous revision is set to Obsolete automatically without asking you. So it is not changing the default, but it allowes you only one released revision.

The default for all document classes is set in the document basics:

Hope this asnwers your question,

Robert
