Hello all!

Our organization recently updated from Cloud version 23R1.8 to 24R2.5. With the update we have run into an issue when attempting to use the “Create Customer Order” command button on the Business Opportunity page.

 

Specifically, if a business opportunity contains lines that span multiple sites this button used to create multiple customer orders (one for each site) but now it produces an error that states “The Site Object Does Not Exist”.  We have tested this with a mixture of different sites and customers with no luck yet.  It doesn’t appear to be an issue with basic data.  We are working around the issue by using the “New Customer Order” command button on the line level and creating the orders separately with that method but returning to using just one command would be ideal.

 

Any ideas what the issue may be would be greatly appreciated!

This seems like a bug. Good if you can log a support ticket so we can investigate what’s causing this and provide a correction. If you have lines from different sites, one customer order per site should be created when you use the button in the opportunity header.

This was confirmed by IFS to be a bug and is intended to be fixed.  The specifics of the fix timeframe are below from IFS R&D -

 

This is to inform you that this core product error is now planned to be resolved in the following updates:

24.1.15 - 24R1 SU15, 24.2.9 - 24R2 SU9, 25.1.3 - 25R1 SU3, 25.2E.0 - 25R2 EA

Please note this is for planning purposes only and is subject to change. Once the error is resolved, we will confirm which updates include the fix.
