Can anyone provide us with some guidelines on steps they took to develop EDI with their customers. Maybe a recommended project plan outlining the steps they took to initiate their first and additional customers? Any guidance would be helpful.
Thank you, Michelle

Hi @Mdangelo ,
We initiate EDI 850, 856 and 810 with customers usually when a customer requests. During the onboarding of customers our account team explains we can support EDI 850, 856 and 810 documents if they wish to interface our systems.
We leverage a third-party EDI partner who handles the document mappings between the two systems and knows how to connect with IFS. We find this our preferred path for integration because most of the work is done within the third-party system. We just have to configure IFS to enable EDI on the customer record and create a routing address and routing rule to connect to our third-party FTP server to exchange documents.

Hi @Mdangelo
we have also a EDI project and were able to do some successuflly tests.
You need some basic data in customer. For example:
And you need settings in IFS Connect. If you did that you can test the process with your EDI provider. Because you need the xml files.
Thank you for the responses provided. We are also looking to know if anyone has any further recommendations on required steps needed for an EDI implementation. Dos, Don’ts, Lessons Learned, etc..
