"The reported by value cannot be empty" error msg in New Request

Forum|alt.badge.img+7

Hi all,

I have encountered an error message stating, 'The reported by value cannot be empty,' when attempting to click the 'Finish' button for a New Request in Service Management. I'm wondering what might be causing this issue. Could you please advise on what steps I should take to resolve or mitigate this error? Thank you.

Hi Aravinda,

Please try below steps and check whether it works.

First take the service organization that you are using in the request and check the site and the company connected to it.

Then create a person ID and connect it to your logged in user.

Enter the person as an employee in the respective company.

Now try to create the request again and check whether the issue is solved.

Best Regards,

Thilini

Hi @Aravinda.Pr ,

Please check whether the logged in user has a Person ID connected. If not please create a Person record for the logged in user and check if that solves the issue.

Thanks,

Nethmini

Thank you @Thilini Kumarasinghe and @Nethmini Kosvinna for the support and guidance. As you mentioned, it appears that the user ID highlighted was entered incorrectly for the person ID. I'm pleased to say that my issue has been resolved now. ðŸ™‚
