Service Quotations

Hi,

There are different ways to quote a service quotation

•  Quote as  Fixed Price Quotation
• Quote as  Estimate Quotation

• Quote as predefined Invoice rule

By looking at this error, I assume your quotation type is Fixed price quotation, which means “Estimate” checkbox is not checked.

In Fixed price quotation, as Thilini has mentioned above, this error comes, as no sales part has been entered on Quotation Totals tab.

In fixed price quotation, It is not required to enter Fixed price planning lines, not even any tasks or other planning lines unless you need pre-plan things inside the quotation to get a rough value. Instead, you can just proceed with calculation and

• go to Quotation totals, and RMB on line and open  Manage Revenue bucket  and see the line with cost type  Other  i.e. for the total Scope (WO) fixed price is quoted.
• Edit the fixed price manually (if you have entered planning lines, a rough value will be calculated and displayed here)
• Then enter the Sales part number from LOV on Quotation totals line manually (It will not be used to get any price value, it is just to represent the fixed Quotation sales line in the invoice preview, it not even shown in the WO planning tab as it is not connected to any work task)

Note: Once the quotation is accepted, the WO will invoice only above fixed quotation price line, not any of the other sales lines (including other fixed price sales lines)
