MRO / Fleet - Serial Part - trick to getting serials in this screen

Hi Thomas,

it seems from your second screenshot that you have created these serials as equipment objects.  Serials can either exist as a serial in FAM or in equipment, not both.

To manage serials in FAM, there are a few things that are required:

1. In Part Catalog, the part number must be at least After Delivery Serial Tracking
2. You must have defined the part number also as an engineering part
3. You must define a manufacturer and a manufacturer part number for the part
4. An active template structure in FAM must exist either for the part number, or which the part number is a part of
5. You can now create the serials and manage them in FAM:
6. Either by creating it in Serial Structure Information, or
7. By either receiving or counting the serial into inventory, and then pick it up in Serials from Inventory screen, and process it from there
