Generate Invoice Lines for Preview

IFSAPP10 do not support the action “Generate Invoice Lines for Preview” when selecting multiple Invoice Period lines in the Service Contract/Invoice Parameters form. This is the intended design. When generating invoice lines for preview from a service contract we want to make sure we do not get any “gaps” for periods.

Meaning that if an invoice line is created for an invoice period we always make sure that invoice lines are created for any previous invoice periods where invoice lines have not been generated before.

Please see below example .

I have not generated invoice lines for preview for 1st two periods and I will directly generate invoice lines for the 3rd period.

However, at the same time system will generate invoice previews for all previous periods if they do not have invoice plan lines created previously. If I search from service contract ID , I can see all invoice plan lines created.
 

So if you want to generate invoice plan lines for multiple periods at once, please perform ‘Generate Invoice Lines for Preview’ for the last period you want.

Thanks for the explanation @Nethmini Kosvinna . I was about to create a custom event to generate invoice lines for preview for all the invoice periods. Good thing that I came across your explanation!
