As I checked the Documentation, “Apply Constraints” option is by Default ticked considering the usual business behavior. Will check further on this and kindly provide the customer business scenario for requesting the above behavior. With that we can suggest the necessary teams to proceed with.

Resource Constraints

In manual allocation, resource constraints are used to filter resources in the List of Values, but it is allowed to allocate resources, breaking the constraints by manually typing the Resource ID in the Allocated To field or from List of Values filtered by unselecting the Apply Constraint check box. When allocating resources to a resource demand, constraints are taken from both the work task and the resource demand. In direct allocation, constraints are taken from the work task.

The resource constraints are:

• Maintenance Organization Site on the work task.
• Maintenance Organization on the work task.
• Resource Group on the resource demand.
• Resource on the resource demand.
• Team ID on the work task (for person resources).
