Create service quotation for a task

Hi IFS,

We have a scenario, we perform some work for the customer then for additional work its required to get the customer approval. For this we create an additional task with planning lines where its required to create a service Quotation.

However when I create a Quotation from the work order header, this includes all task but not the one we just need customer acceptence. How to handle this in Cloud?

We dont need to create a service quotation for the first task as it has performed as per customer contract agreements within the accepted limit.

How I can include just the one Task in the service qutation?

Hi Kasun,

Please see the below test plan:

  1. Create a work order with 2 work tasks.
  1. Create a service quotation.
  1. Now click on service quotation.
  1. Click on work task you don't want to include.
  1. Now delete it.

Now, the service quotation can be used for the relevant work.

Thank You. This is 24R2

This is the Test plan.

 

  1. The 1st Task created is in WorkDone status as the engineer has completed it.
  2. Then he creates the 2nd task for additional work.

 

 

Next I create the Quotation then as you said then if I try to delete it, see below.

 

 

I cannot delete it as it is a WorkDone Task. Here I dont need to include the totals from 1st task as it is already done as agreed but for the second task only.

 

How to handle this? This is crucial in Our business but I dont see a way to handle it.

Those are normal reportings sich as Personal that comes from time reportings, Material usages etc.

Hi Kasun,

 

Please invoice/close all the time reports and material orders in the work task. Then, finish the work task and remove it from the service quotation.

Hi ​@TLAKLK ,

Unfortunatetly in customer business this is not possible. They do invoice the customer once the full job is completed but not task by task. As you can see now the job is incomplete as we have further things to do in Task 2 so they cannot be invoiced as the work is not completed.

 

Any other way of handling this? This is a basic requirement in general business I wonder why it cannot be handled even in the latest Cloud? Its not correct to put the job already done in a quotation again but only the work to be done should be included. Atleast it should be looking the Task status so workdone tasks are not included in the Quotation.
