Hi All,

while QA testing for a customer running alliance v14 HF24, I encountered an issue in Repair Order Module where the New button is disabled. I’ve tried as both customizer and super user.

 


The module appears to be installed in the application Catalog .

Also there weren’t any customizer conflicts related to the module.

Any idea on how to resolve this?

What is the user security role? Have you checked the security setting whether you can create Repair Order?


Hi Pranavan,

Though you used Customizer setting which is supposed to disable the security settings, etc. I think you should also look what portals you have linked to your account.  See if Depot Repair is enabled so set your account back to Super User (disable customizer) and check the Portals in the Employees Security module.

Also, you indicated this is a QA for a customer, are there any Customization Layers (not Customizer) which you can take a look to see if they made changes to this module?

I only have been provided the following portals in that testing environment, is this the reason I cannot create a new repair order?
 

 


Try to add Depot Repair.

How do I add a new depot repair portal? where can I setup this up? because its not already found in the portals list.

If the customer does not have the Depot module which is the reason why you can’t create a new repair order.

From Employee Security, Alliance Portals, press the select button and tick Depot Repair

As Sachin mentioned above it looks like the Depot module is not installed on this customer environment. Is there any way I can add it separately? or should this be done at first setup?


It looks like the depot repair portal is not in your license key ...


I agree with Christophe - the Depot Repair may not be in the license you are using which is why you don’t see it in your Portals page.
