Error 32 when publishing to PUBLIC

Hi,

When publishing a report to PUBLIC using the customizer, I get this message Error 32 copying file '\\..FileStoragePath\Customizations\DEV\DAL\cconth\cust_contr_det_rep_header.query' to '\\...FileStoragePath\Customizations\Public\DAL\cconth\cust_contr_det_rep_header.query': The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. And

I cannot publish the new report.

The only way I’ve found to publish the new customization is to unlock the locked file by restarting IIS, delete the file from the PUBLIC folder, and then publish. I have to repeat this process for every file involved in the edit—which is tedious when dealing with edits that include multiple sub-reports.

I have tested this across multiple profiles and servers, using both the web interface and the installed application. We encounter this message when publishing reports. Do you know what might be causing this? How can we prevent this message from appearing?

Thanks for your responses

Regards

Michel

Hi Michel,
You mention that this error happens on multiple profiles and servers...can you recreate this in your UAT environment?  (or does it only on PROD environments?)  If you can recreate it on your UAT environment, can you check the License module “Logged Users” tab and try it after-hours when nobody is on the system?  Does it still throw the same error even without named users in the application?
Thanks,
Reid
