Hi,

I would like to be able to get, from a checklist “list of values”, the list of installed equipments on a customer site.

To do that, I thought about using a Dymamic Answer list, and I wonder if it is possible to create a new query to get this line.

Instandar, we have only 3 possibles queries :

Is it possible to create new ones ?

ALLIANCE V15.4 SU7

Thanks

Hi Laurence,

The Astea Alliance application is no longer adding new functionalities to the standard applicationwhich I believe your request would be to add a new type of query to this option in the checklist answer setup.

My belief the answer is no, at least not in standard.

Also, I would be concerned about the size of the checklists as there literally could be hundreds of installed items belonging to the customer/site.  Seems to me that you would need to have a custom query to point more directly at which installed items to avoid causing resource issues.

Hi Laurence,
I agree with Phil, this would need to be done as a customization (also on the Mobile Edge application as well if you want those changes to be in place there).  Also note that we don’t download ALL installed items for a particular job site down to the mobile device when a service order is dispatched, there is a MOE that controls that so you’d have to customize that logic as well to ensure that all of the items are downloaded and loaded into your checklist answer list).
Thanks,
Reid

OK. Thank you both for your advices. We agree with you but I wanted to be sure that there was no standard solution that I can discuss with the final customer who asked that.
