dispatch console in "read" mode

Forum|alt.badge.img+11

Hi one of our customer is asking if it was possible to  use the dispatch console in a “read” mode. The customer wants for some of their managers, to give access to the console for  having a view of the ressources and their schedule but he doesn’t want the user assign/dispatch change data of the service order etc ….

Thanks for your feedback

Could you use the security setting for the Employee Role and Dispatch Console User? Documentation for 15.1 & 15.4 are the same. We use Dispatch Console User Security Settings (Page 86 in the 15.4 Dispatch Console User Guide) to lock most of the Console setting to Read only. Then use a security role to limit access to Service Orders

Hi Christophe,

I will ask R&D ro confirm and also need to know which dispatch console.  Are you referring to the one using the Astea Browser or the Web Employee Portal?

Hi Ktolkacevic thanks for your feedback, it was our idea but before set up everything i wanted to have some feedback on this use case. It seems this is working fine for you using security settings, so we are going to test and show the result to our customer

thanks
