Hi,

 

Is there any way to add attachments for a technician in mobility, that he could access whenever he wanted, regardless of his work ? Best exemple is electrical accreditations.

Hi Laurence,
Do you have the KnowledgeBase configured?  If you configure that it might be the best place to store those...this way as long as the mobile techs have a network connection they can search the contents of the knowledge base and then you wouldn’t have to attach those documents directly to orders or items in order for the technician to access those.

Thank you.

In this case, no, knowledgabase has not been configured, and I’m not sure it matches the requirements.

Indeed, the document they would like to access anytime is personal for each technician. We are not in the case where they  want to share commun documents.

Hi Laurence,
I suspect that request would need a small customization of some sort (right now if you add the attachments at the Service Order/Item/Customer level then those would all be visible to other mobile technicians that are working on the same order/item/customer) so you’d probably want to add a new attachment icon to the mobile application (maybe in the My Profile screen) and have that download all of the attachments that were added in the Employees module for this particular mobile technician that have the Restriction Level set to “Employee Only”, or something along those lines…if you only need a one way synchronization of the data (i.e. the techs won’t need to upload attachments of this type) then that may help to minimize the amount of development effort.
