Advice on an error message : the xml/json format is incorrect

Forum|alt.badge.img+11

Hello, one of our customer has from time to time the following error displayed on the screen

this can happen inside a module, then the user is routed automatically to the login page and is able to login again without any problem and go back into the module

What could be the cause of this message ?

Thanks for your feedback

Rgds

Hi Christophe,

This is not enough information to make suggestions.  It seems to me that something happened that was related to the session and when the user connects again, it is a different session perhaps to a different server.

If this were the case, there may be a problem on one server and not another in a multi-server environment.  This also would give the perception it is intermittent as you suggest.

I would verify all the deployed files are exactly the same on all servers if possible or try to test the module going to a specific server instead of through the NLB.  Finally, a REDIS cache restart and IISRESET also might help.

I can’t say much more without further information.  If it is a standard module in the deployment and the issue persists after the services restart it may be better to log a support case.

Hi Christophe,
Is it the same module that is throwing the error each time?  Or is it random and happens across multiple modules?  If it’s the same module have the user try resetting their view in the following manner:

Click on Last View drop down and select the option for Manage Views.  On that screen click on Reset View and then Close, then close the module and reopen it and see if that helps with the issue.

If it’s happening across multiple modules then I’d suggest an IISRESET on each of the Alliance application servers as Phil mentioned above.
Thanks,
Reid
